This was a study done by Riot a while ago. Basically this is all you need to know.
In one study, called the “Optimus Experiment,” they tested five categories of messages displayed to players in red and blue, with white serving as a baseline for comparison. Among Western gamers, they found that a red message warning about the counterproductive results of negative behavior — such as, “Teammates perform worse if you harass them after a mistake” — led to a bigger drop in players having a bad attitude toward their teammates or insulting other players than the same message displayed in white. A blue message highlighting the benefits of positive behavior also helped reduce toxic behavior.
This is what I am aiming for. But basically less random information such as ''Rakan loves chocolate'' or ''Miss fortunes first name is Sarah''.
This is not a tip. It's absolutely useless information. And while I'd love to throw it away I'd actually recommend that we create categories you can click on while in loading screen such as
''Character Trivia'' - Which can be filled with the ''Miss fortunes name is Sarah'' and ''Rakan loves chocolate'' but make it specific to champions IN GAME currently.
''Character Information'' - Which will tell you actual helpful information such as ''Warwicks Ult distance is further the more movement speed he has'' If there is a Warwick in your game this message would pop up. And if there is a Caitlyn in your game another tip would be ''Caitlyns give vision for one second on cast''. Stuff like this. It could be clickable through and use old death recap messages that used to be when you got killed by someone, it'd tell you how to play against them / their strengths / weaknesses.
''Winning Tips'' etc - What the article mentions, flaming doesn't help anyone, people make mistakes all the time. I don't know specifically what to put here, but basically the article mentions tips in that area helped decrease toxicity. Which further proves my point that we should EXPAND on this.
There is so much you can do here, I am simply providing an improvement because I feel as if is not really a hard thing to implement while also having a good improvement to players satisfaction overall.
