-One of the most contested picks in competitive play including at 2019 Worlds.
-Last patch, she had a 55.16% winrate mid with a 10% pickrate and 27.6% banrate in Master+ games.
-One of the highest reward assassins (short of a scaled up Kassadin), while having one of the lowest risks. She has safe, ranged farming. She has good utility in her base spells. She has one of the most reliable, easy-to-hit combos out of any assassin in the game and unlike Ahri, doesn't pay a "tax" to her all-in damage in exchange for her ranged spells/utility. When she's behind, she always remains relevant because of her AoE root and gamechanging ult. She has more flexibility in a teamfight because of her stealth, meaning that it's hard to even focus her like you can focus a fed Katarina.
What am I missing here? Why does Riot's balance team with "hundreds of years of combined experience" not think anything is unusual about this?
