[2019] A Thank You For 10 Years

With the 10th Anniversary of LoL coming up I wanted to express a sincere thank you to Riot Games. Thank you for making such an amazing MOBA. Thank you for making a game that my friends and I have put wayyy to many hours in yet still come back every day or two. Thank you for creating a game where I can play as a fairy who turns her opponents into squirrels or a revenant of death who slams a mace down on his foes, and both are fun. I’ve grown up with your game, from starting at high-school to now as I enter my early-mid twenties. Been around since season 2 (shoutout to Lulu, first champ I saw on the login screen) and seeing how the game has grown and evolved has been incredible. I remember the tribunal, igniting minions by accident, the infamous 4.20 weedwick, the institute of war, too many memorable moments and mechanics to count. No game has meant as much to me as yours. The characters, the lore, the gameplay itself, the esports scene, the funny moments and the hype ones, all of it has been a true joy. Sure neither the game nor Riot have been perfect. I don’t think I need to reiterate that with examples. But it’s been an amazing ten years, here’s to another 10!
