Riot Forge.

Straightforward horror game with some minor twists.

Ambiguous 'true ending' alongside a few good/bad ones.

Jumpscares, hallucinations, near-death experiences, literally watching one of your companions get torn to shreds in such a realistic showing of gore that it'd have a skip feature for the people who wouldn't be able to handle watching it

Finally killing Fiddlesticks through various means only for him to slowly follow you into the sunset; you can run, but you can't escape the crows.

Some more specific ideas I spun up:

  • A large part of the game will revolve not just around avoiding/fending off Fiddle but by being able to outsmart him; there will be several moments where you are literally face to face and unless you take the right action in that moment you're screwed.
    • As a fun side effect if you choose to stay put in any of these situations Fiddle will also stay put; the two of you will remain locked together in a staring contest for all eternity while he T-poses in your face and dares you to move.
  • The game will explore Fiddle's origins by documenting the exploration of a long buried fortress (think a Minecraft stronghold here) by a few soldiers/companions who have lost their way. Long story short: Fiddle kills all of your companions, you manage to temporarily exorcise him (leading to the true ending under certain circumstances) and escape only for Fiddle's 'backstory' to be the most lighthearted origin ever given to a horror villain. Yeah.
  • The key is important. The key is life, the key is death, the key is everything.
  • Finally, through a certain cheat code you can change Fiddlesticks to his Surprise Party skin; this will include several changes including but not limited to Fiddle creepily 'singing' Happy Birthday in the dark fortress passages, an inevitable Portal reference, a joke ending and the fact that should you enter into a permanent standstill with Fiddle as I mentioned earlier he will sing songs with his kazoo in an increasingly loud and distorted manner until your speakers break. Oh, and the last thing you'll hear if you die to Partysticks is this on the kazoo.

In all seriousness I really feel like Riot could put out a great horror game w/ Fiddle that doesn't require a great understanding (if one at all) of Runeterra and could stand on its own as a terrifying, unforgiving experience that will rip you to shreds only to piece you back together to be torn apart again. There's an opportunity to be had, Riot - I suggest you take it.

Actual Fiddlesticks already has this
