So i bought the team pass to support the team that i like without reading too much into what it rewards and such. The rewards on first glance seemed kind of fair, you get some team "swag" and a pretty decent skin/chroma.

But the mission design for them is so wack, if you dont know what im talking about you get one mission per week and youre supposed to watch 3 of your teams games and play 5 games in league of legends.

Now i dont have to tell you why the first part of that is ridiculously stupid, teams only play 2 games per week, but whats worse is that you cant get the next weeks missions before you complete the first one, so you cant "double up" on completing them either.

EDIT: I have to apologize here to the people i misinformed, i wasnt aware that the missions change in week 6,7 and 8, and require you to watch ANY lec games. So what is written under this is not correct. Regardless the point about it being buggy and not the greatest experience so far still stands, as well as the fact that it takes 2 weeks to complete one mission for the first 5 missions.

Now, there is 8 of these missions in total, so lets do the math 8*3=24, however, every team only plays 18 games per season. Now there are playoff matches sure, but if the team you picked doesnt make playoffs you cant finish all 8 missions :) . Also even if your team makes playoffs but goes out 0/3 in their first match, you cant finish all 8 missions... Hell, as a g2 fan lets imagine the same scenario from last split happens where they 3/0 both their games in playoffs, that would be barely just enough to get all 24 games that i would have to watch for all 8 missions. And thats without missing a single game they play the entire split! And if one of these games bugs and doesnt count like the system has a habit of doing then youre f*cked...

So just in the way it was created by requiring 3 games per week is just ridiculously stupid. But lets get to the other part of the mission, play 5 games. Now when i was advertised this product i was told that its a nice way to watch and support my team in LEC, so what on earth does that have to do with playing 5 games every week. Now i know for most of you this isnt much, and tbf its not really a lot of games, but for someone who enjoys watching League but only plays occasionally its kinda frustrating, but this could be just me.

Add on top of this the fact that its already been bugging out for some people, not counting the games watched towards the progress while others somehow have all 3 games watched while only 2 games have been played in the LEC by each team, and just the fact that the watch . lolesports site isnt all that great when it comes to these things makes these LEC/LEC team pass missions one of the worst ive had the displeasure of doing. And let me remind you that these are PAID missions btw, so... i really expected more, or at the very least a working product.

TLDR: Team pass sucks because some teams wont play enough games to finish all 8 missions because of how stupidly it was conceived, its requires 5 games played in game for some reason when its an esport mission, and its been all round buggy for a lot of people while being a mission you pay for.

Edit: To clear things up, i still think the idea of team specific items, such as icons, skins, or even team passes is cool and Riot should keep doing them, i just want them to take it a bit more seriously and make them enjoyable for players who buy them. I still hope to buy the LEC team pass next split as well, but ill be doing it ONLY if Riot does some improvements.

Hey Unresolute and other friends!

Although it was pointed out that the last 3 missions are completed by watching the league (not your team) your pass is associated with, it's still an opportunity for us to improve clarity when you buy it and use it. We released an article that provides more details about Team Pass, but we're learning that some information should be readily available and not tucked away in an article.

To the other comments, the same principle applies. We're hyper-focused on listening and understanding what you like and dislike about the pass to help deliver something better in the future. And when we release that better thing in the future, we'll do the exact same thing: listen and make it better until we're able to consistently deliver something that allows you to have a live-streamed dinner date with your favorite player, sit behind your favorite team on stage while throwing memes and money at them during a match, and slapping your face right in the client and broadcast for being the biggest fan of your team.

We're still quite a ways away from getting to this weird ass future that I had too much fun thinking about, but this is the first of many steps.

Now, for the current issues some of you are experiencing: we hear you and have been rolling out some fixes that grant you mission progress that you previously deserved, and some of you should have received those fixes recently. We're not completely done rolling out these fixes yet and I will keep this thread updated on our progress next week.

Back to clarity, we also recognize that errors some of you experienced may not be errors at all, but feel like it because of a misunderstanding with Team Pass, which is on us. For example, watching a live match and then a VOD of that same live match will only count once. Watching an academy game will not count at all. Watching your favorite pro on Twitch feed their brains out in solo queue won't count either. If you feel like something isn't quite right with your pass, please feel free to reach out in this thread and we'll take a look at whether it's a misunderstanding or an issue we need to fix.

Regarding mission design and objectives, like requiring you to play or watch 3 games instead of 2 in a week, we recognize this is something we should improve in the future. We recognize that many of you love your team and just want to support them, which is more than fantastic, but we only offer in-game rewards with Team Pass. We added a Play component to these missions as a result of the rewards design, but Team Pass has shown that we need to take a step back and re-evaluate if the rewards and what we're asking you to do to get those rewards work together or against each other in the future.

As always, thank you for all of your comments; positive or "constructive". All comments genuinely help all of us get closer and closer to the future of late night pro team television dramas and Ninja Warrior/MXC style shows featuring your favorite pros.

I'm definitely not projecting my own interests and fever dreams.

This is inaccurate. If you actually look at the missions, missions 6, 7 and 8 read

Watch 3 LEC/LCS games from this split on watch.lolesports.com & Play 5 games

That's ANY game, not your team's.
