Hey all, Depa here, Producer on the show. Taking a moment to thank everyone for the feedback on EUphoria so far— it's really helpful being able to hop in the threads and see where we can work to improve.
There are a few questions that people have raised about EUphoria so far this year, and I wanted to take a moment to answer them as I have in previous threads!
With questions of having guests on the show— I want to quash the speculation. We are not intentionally looking to reduce the role of guests on our show. We're still committed to providing a space for our players and professional staff on the podcast as we were last year.
Usually our first two episode of the season rely on our on-air talent team for their predictions and tierlists, as the players are prepping for the first weeks of show. In Episodes 3 & 4, Peter Dun and Caedrel were incredible to have— but in hindsight, I should have scheduled Peter to stick around with us for recording for a longer portion of his episode. (Oops.)
But for this specific episode: unfortunately, we ran into some difficulties securing a guest for the show. Last minute re-scheduling and cancellations mean we have to react quickly to either discuss the same topic without our originally planned guest, or adjust the topic with a day's notice with whoever may be available. In this case, we weren't able to find a guest. For the episodes ahead, I'm currently in contact with teams to lock down future guest appearances on the podcast for the remaining weeks in the season!
Aside from this, the other questions and feedback on this episode typically revolve around the new release time (Thursdays at 12:00 CET) and our regularly appearing personalities on the show.
In Season 5 of the podcast, due to changes behind-the-scenes in our workflows and how we work with our on-air talent on the LEC, EUphoria is impacted by having to move to this new release time, and Drakos will be the series only regular host. This season you can typically expect to see 1-2 "hosts" (Drakos + the weeks' special guest, for the past few episodes this has been Yamato) alongside 1-2 guests from the teams of the LEC!
