This is just something I think about every now and then but in my sophomore year of High School, about 2016, a LoL developer came to visit my high school art class. He was friends with my art teacher.

He was showing off the in-game model for Jinx and describing the details of the model, showing her switching her guns and stuff. No one in the class was all that interested because none of us knew what LoL or Riot Games was. In fact, my friends and I were more interested in the Super Smash Bros. T-Shirt he was wearing and we were asking him if he wanted to play with us online. I think he said he doesn’t actually play, he’s just a fan.

At that time I was really into art and was considering a career in it, and I told him that. He wrote his number or his email on a post-it note and gave it to me and told me to keep in touch, but I lost it.

Years later now that I’m familiar with Riot and love LoL, I think about this encounter a lot and regret not ever reaching out. Also feel it’s a shame I couldn’t appreciate his presentation back then as much as I would now. Just thought I would share. Unlucky.

That would be pretty sweet. If nothing else just to say thank you for the presentation, which at the time was so under-appreciated by us high school kids. After watching Arcane and everything and League being as big as it is I find it so cool that I saw the Jinx model live! And at the time he said he was still working on it and updating it too I believe.

Happy to ask around. Remember any other details? You can DM me if it’s stuff you wouldn’t want public (your school, teacher, etc).
