I used to be a gamer that looked down on League. Thought it was a stupid game and the people who played it were just weird. Arcane came out, and I made a point to not watch it because I knew it was based off of League and most videogame adaptations sucked so there's no real point to giving it a shot.

Then I kept hearing random people sing its praises in various corners of the internet, saying that it was really good, that it broke the videogame curse, and that you didn't have to know anything about League to enjoy Arcane. One night, I was bored and had nothing to do and I saw Arcane being recommended on Netflix so I thought "f*ck it, I'll give it a shot and if it sucks I'll bail".

It blew my mind. Arcane season 1 is the single best season of television I've ever seen, period. I rewatched it. I watched reaction videos of other people watching it (which I never do, I've only ever watched reaction videos of Arcane). And I got so desperate for Arcane related content that I started diving into the actual lore of the game. Then I got bored and downloaded the sh*tty League client and queued up.

I even posted a thread on the Arcane subreddit saying I ruined my life because I started playing League and now I can't quit. And now I can finally say that 1 year and 11 months after I picked up this insanely frustrating and complex game, I am a diamond ranked League jungler. Oh, and I've spent like ~150 dollars on skins and battle passes.

I'm now a garden variety degenerate League player, and I love it.

Hell yeah friend!

Out of curiosity: What was the most challenging thing for you to learn in League?
And on the other side: What kept you coming back?
