The goal of the yuumi rework was to skew her towards lower elos and remove tools from her kit that made her difficult to balance (except her untargetability but that's a discussion for another day...), so why does she have an ability that's more suited for a warden?

The reason why you never see Braum, Rell, Taric, or (formerly) Tahm Kench? They had very strong peel abilities, but very little flexibility, so you had to be coordinated with your adc. Yuumi ult can't be used as an engage tool anymore, it's entirely centered around peel, so why would low elo players use this optimally?

A new player isn't going to be ready to pop ult just before the ADC gets bursted down from an invisible assassin, especially if there is little to no enemies on screen, which is exactly how you would expect to use yuumi ult (an AOE attack) in the first place. It's not intuitive design which is the original problem with yuumi in the first place,
