UPDATE: Cross-server transfers start after Riot SEA servers are online (early January)
Today's the first day of the Garena migration, and it seems that Riot accounts with ANY league data on other servers cannot be linked for migration. I personally had an NA account I haven't touched in years and it wouldn't let me link to that. From the other posts on the subreddit it also seems to be quite a common problem. I suspect most Garena players have a Riot account used for Valorant, LoR, or Wild Rift, that also has a League account in another server. On the FAQ website it says inter-server transfers are not available until further notice, but hopefully the edge cases can be sorted out.
