[2019] People are playing Yuumi completely wrong.

The play style of attaching and afk spellslinging is never going to be effective, especially in bot lane. Yuumi has the lowest HP in the game, but that doesn’t justify the afk attach method that people attempt to work with. As a bot lane, you need all of the effective HP that you can get. This includes shields, heals, and actual current hp. If Yuumi is attached, then the effective hp of the bot lane is decreased by ~400 hp, and all spells and attacks are able to be directed straight towards the adc.

If you’ve ever played Yugioh then a perfect analogy would be that Yuumi attached is having the enemy attack your life points directly. Yuumi needs to stay out to absorb some of the heat during a trade, and attach to the adc when close to death thereby utilizing her hp and allowing the bot lane to trade more effectively.

Also it seems that Mejais Soulstealer is very efficient, TP on the ADC allows for previously inefficient back timings and map pressure, and two in-combat summoner spells (in place of flash) offer Yuumi players a stronger playstyle.

TL;DR Please don’t use the AFKat method, and actually play the champ with a more traditional playstyle.
