Greetings Summoners!

With every new patch Riot introduces to balance out champions and items there are some unforeseen issues that creep up and cause disruption during gameplay. We have noticed that these issues which eventually get fixed clutter up the subreddit immediately following the patch.

We want to avoid this by having a single Megathread which will be posted after every patch so that you guys can report the various issues in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered.

Note only bugs caused by the 12.22 Patch should be reported below.

Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug


  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.
  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.
  3. The bug must have been caused by the latest patch.

Format when reporting a bug: When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your computer.

Server: The server you encountered the bug (NA, EUW, EUNE, TR, RU, BR, LAS, LAN etc)

Type of Bug: Client Bug, In Game Bug etc

Description: Describe what was the bug that occurred.

Video / Screenshot: Insert screenshot (F12 in game) or Video of the bug occurring.

Steps to reproduce: Provide the steps necessary if someone else had to reproduce the bug.

Expected result: What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above.

Observed result: What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above?

Reproduction rate: If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? (1/10: Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10: Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10: Happens every single time)

System specs: Processor, Video card, Ram, HDD/SSD, everything you can provide, even drivers.


Example Bug:

• Server: EUW

• Type of Bug: In-Game Bug etc

• Description: Zed's R (Death Mark) does not apply secondary damage

• Insert Video / Screenshot of the incident

• Reproduction rate: 2/10 (happened 2 out of 10 times)

• Steps to reproduce:

Launch a game after selecting Zed as your champion. Attempt to use Death Mark. Observe the result.

• Expected result: The damage should apply after a short delay, amplified by damage dealt during the effect.

• Observed result: The damage will not apply properly.

• System Specs: Intel i5 Processor, Windows 7, Nvidia Graphics card (insert model number) etc.

This is intended, the Tower ping is stereo while the hold ping is mono, so you can differentiate.

Steps to reproduce: Yasuo Windwalls. Syndra places a Q behind the wall and at the same time casts E, the stun goes through windwall.

However if Syndra casts Q and then E, E gets blocked and it does not move the Syndra Q = Does not stun Yasuo (As intended)

Expected result: Windwall blocks Syndra E hence blocking movement of Syndra balls behind the wall. As the Syndra E does not affect things behind the wall because it gets stopped at Windwall.

Observed result: Syndra E stuns Yasuo behind the Wall, if she presses QE at the same time (if the Q is in the animation of creating itself)

Reproduction rate: 100%

Ah yes, we have this tracked and are looking into a more comprehensive fix. Might not be able to get to it immediately but are definitely looking to fix!

haha no worries. So intent is that the smite deals 600 if its the first swap, 900 if its the 2nd swap, and 1200 for every swap after that.

So I assume that whats happening is that you are seeing the experience amount gained and getting confused why its the same as last patch. What happened is that all jungle monsters lost 15 experience on kill, but the jungle item gained 15 experience. So at level 1 a buff now is worth 95 experience instead of 110. However junglers now get 75 xp instead of 60. Junglers will still get the same xp for a buff at level 1 (170) but laners will get 15 less (95 instead of 110)

In case you are curious what is happening is that you (Illaoi) are getting cleansed of the bonus effects of your Nautilus' Radiant Virtue without ever actually benefitting from it. This is due to an extremely unlucky combination of you walking perfectly into range of his Radiant Virtue at a perfect timing, a sort of perfect storm of problems. This should be fixed very soon.

So it would partly be process of elimination. New mythic was one of the few things that had changed in that match.

I was able to pull the replay so I was watching it intently. I just had to narrow down the possible causes which generally were only the new items that were added this patch. I didn't even see the Radiant Virtue until I eliminated the other new items as possible causes, and then I talked it through with the designer to see where it possibly could have happened in the scripts of the item, which is where we discovered the cause.

  2. Have enough bonus health that DE or TH would give you the stats to evolve, or enough AD that the extra AD from Sterak's would give the evolve.

Expected Result: Q/W can be evolved.

Observed Result: Bonus stats from Demonic Embrace, Sterak's Gage, and Titanic Hydra don't count towards Q/W evolves, while they do from other items (like Muramana).

Reproduction Rate: 100%

System Specs: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz 3.79 GHz

This bug has been around since at least January when I first saw it, and reported it through the in client bug report then.

This is the 5th patch in a row I've reported this.

This is fixed for 12.23, should also work on new items such as Rod of Ages

The drake is a but a few champions had leftover special casing (specifically the ones with death-related passives such as Sion, Karthus, and Kog'Maw) that would allow them to still have their old Chemtech Death state + their passives. The special casing just essentially ran a check for if you have Chemtech soul, which technically, they did.

Yeah, not all bug fixes make it onto that list but it should still be going live.
