Since the release of TFT, LoL took a huge hit in viewers. That fact aligned with the rise of popularity of Battleroyal games (yesterday Apex released Ranked and season 2).

IWD has been very vocal on stream about it and yesterday made a twitter post about it:

Personally, I think this has to due with the fact that ranked is a huge coinflip and very frustrating to play. I think this phrase someone posted in the same twitter post sums it up pretty well:

"This is what happens when you go from "best player carries the game" to "worst player loses the game" in your balancing policy."

What do you guys think? The LoL downfall is here after so many years or not quite?

They made the choice to murder LoL a long time ago, I was a beta tester for the game in 2009, and I think things started to go downhill very quickly pretty much as soon as Morello stopped being the lead designer. Also, the forum they had (the old forum, nobody here probably knows about it) was the most popular forum on the entire internet, they decided to shut it down and no one uses their boards. this thread would have been relevant some years ago. the game has been dead for a long f**king time, it's just the rito cocksuckers won't admit it.

$700 billion?!
