Season 2020 just started a couple weeks ago, the LEC got me hooked straight away and I won't miss a single game the entire year. But when watching the vods back I have been noticing some things that were off.
I am getting more and more annoyed by the week in week out flame by the caster desk. It feels like the goals for 2020 was to meme harder than G2 does on social media. The hard flame all game for every single mistake. It just feels annoying.
Besides the decreasing interest into the lower teams games. I was watching SK vs S04 earlier today and it felt in no way comfortable to hear the casters. All they talked about from minute 1 was that it was going to be a sh*t fest And that they should end the game so G2 vs FNC would start sooner. It got me quite annoyed. Even though I am looking forward to that game, I still really want to see these smaller games too.
Not to mention the unprofessional attitude from ender against guilhoto prior to the ROG vs G2 game.
Don't get me wrong though, you can flame, you can laugh at the missing EQ or fail flash from razork. But also notice the good things he did do. You can also hype the hell out of G2 vs FNC, But it shouldn't cause the games prior to that to have no quality casting. And please talk about how teams can come back in certain situations or what they could/should have done. Like what LS did on the SKT play to leave the Inhib alive. You can also be wrong when a coach says your opinion is bullsh*t (I mean it's fine to be wrong sometimes) , but please don't argue with him on air.
I am a proud iron player, I learn like 60% of my game knowledge from you, but I don't have to learn how to flame people or how to surrender at 20. 2019 LEC was hype for me. Please don't wannabe cool, cause you are already.
Edit: Some people think I want the casters to be all professional and without banter, that's not what I am implying. I think banter is good, I mean fun is good, but there is in my opinion a bit too much banter at the moment and too little explanation of mistakes And what could have been done better.
