They have splash arts. The in game models are for the most part 1 for 1, same with most spells. The key difference is the 3D viewer models, which obviously doesnt need porting.

Its alot less work than making a skin from scractch to port wild rift skins, for easy gain. It would also avoid PC player salt posts (like this one).
Shouldnt PC and WR be striving for at least SOME parity?

I understand how riot has decided to develop the 2 games, and its honestly a flawed execution that could easily be improved, which would improve both the player experience AND profit.

Going to correct this right now -
Wild Rift 100% does not "literally use LoL assets" ... because of how the games are developed, the only and I mean only parts that we can take from LoLPC is the concept art, splash and audio. We have to create from scratch:

  • In Game Model / Texture
  • Turntable Model / Texture
  • All VFX
  • All animations
