We do think demotion protection at tiers is reasonable to allow players to protect their ranks a bit, but it will be a bit less lenient than before after the adjustments we made over the course of the last split
So basically, if you lose at 10 LP and lose 25 LP, you will move to 85 LP in the division below
But if you play a game at 98 LP and go up a tier you're placed at 1 LP because....?
You go up the same amount so 23LP in this case
