I know many on this subreddit will disagree, but hear me out. It can be really pivotal to a fight, I agree, and often c*ck blocks a aggressive play, but the opposite can be said. It often enables people to take riskier plays, knowing the extra safety net of stowatch.
I think a good comparison to stopwatch is flash. Both are important tools that both facilitate and prevent plays. People play around flash and try take it out. Stopwatch is the same, it's a resource to be consumed and kept track of. People aren't trying to remove flash, but many just hate stopwatch, which I don't really understand.
Also, it prolongs the teamfight, especially in the pro play, and makes the teamfights more exciting imo.
Anyways just throwing my opinion out there, I curious to see what others think.
