14.11 Full Preview!
(I know it's been posted already, but only got access to a PC today, so just posting for posterity)
Summoner's Rift
Game Systems
Early reads on snowballing are coming in a little higher than 14.9; we're closely monitoring the cause (jungle XP, bot lane XP, etc.) and if we'll be happy with where it landed after getting more info
Durability for Bot and Support have increased pretty significantly as a result of the XP changes, especially in the midgame (a bit less in the late game)
Simultaneously, after some of the nerfs to outliers (Draven, Samira, etc.), ADC feels like it's in a OK spot power wise. *Am curious on all your thoughts here? *
Other
We think Fated Ashes and the AP system are doing their job well in providing that spike for AP champions and allowing more AP champs to Jungle (this is intended)
We intend to balance the champions around ~this item strength, hence the nerfs to Karthus and Taliyah as a result, who are still a bit over
For Ez, Yone, Yasuo who all have interesting new builds, we're waiting a bit longer for them to settle out, but throwing in buffs to Smolder and GP
Also forgot to mention last patch, but we believe we've shipped a fix to the GP issue in 14.10 (root cause was some deep tech upgrades, that broke his combo as a side effect). Can GP mains confirm if this has been fixed? @Solarbacca1
Arena
Early reads of Arena are that we're currently outperforming 1.5 both in peak and day over day engagement. Don't want to count our chickens before they hatch though... Let's keep it going!!🙏
In 14.11 are a lot of nerfs to a few healing augments and if items are healing and needed nerfs, we're going after those as well. Healing is something that's going to need a better solve in the long term, but we think we can get it to at least a reasonable spot through targeted small adjustments
The team has been hard at work on some further changes to improve replayability of the mode and it is our continued long term focus
We've heard feedback around the situation around bans, prismatic items, balance and healing and have been actively discussing a bunch of different things. Hopefully will have more to share soon
