I was actually caught by surprise watching Phreak's recent video Patch 13.20. Obviously all runes were adjusted across the board however Electrocute, Aery and some others ended up nerfed much harder for AP than AD (Phreak explicitly talks about the numbers from 2:03:17 for anyone interested, https://youtu.be/sau4Dnt0Rsg?si=mxFDAKaAeAGedXi2).

I'm just curious as to why this is. I can't comment on whether AP burst champs are stronger than their AD counterparts, I mostly found it interesting that the adjustments turn out so different for AP vs AP.

Why do you think they opted for this Iteration of changes? Would love to hear some perspectives on this to better understand. Thx :)

One thing worth mentioning is that champions almost always have more Armor than MR, which means converting adaptive damage to magic is inherently a buff. There may be some required follow-up for mages as a result of these changes, but anything that puts the tooltip damage of Electrocute lower for LeBlanc than for Talon is probably actually correct. It means LeBlanc’s power budget can be more about her kit and less about her keystone.
