[2021] Any prior knowledge needed before Arcane?

Ok, cards on the table - as far as Riot goes, I've pretty much only played Valorant. I saw the trailer for LoL Arcane on the new launcher and thought it looked pretty dope, so I proceeded to make some plans to watch it with a couple friends when it eventually comes out.

Having no clue to any League Lore, is there any way to catch up to how it is currently? I've heard there are animations etc, is there an order to them? Anything to look out for? Apologies, I SWEAR I looked for an answer but Reddit's search function sucks.

And best of luck making your leagues.. legendary?
