I unintentionally did, and I regret nothing.
Granted, I've never been one of the "tilted every game, season X is trash, League is awful" players, but I found myself having less fun with the game in the past few months than previously. I tilted every few games, and I slowly stopped deriving enjoyment from losses.
Around that time, my university semester got crazy and I got really busy with my internship, so I pretty much stopped having enough free time to play League. I didn't play a single game for about a month and a half, although I still kept up to date on the game and watched my favourite LoLtubers every few days.
I graduated two weeks ago and started working full time. I started playing 3-4 games of League a day again. And I'm having so much fun. Tilted people make me chuckle. We can be losing hard as hell and I don't even care because I'm just so happy to be playing the game I love and reconnecting with the champions I have posters of on my walls.
You guys, it's normal to be burnt out of a game sometimes. It's been out nearly ten years. If you've been playing it as your main game for at least a few years, burning out is to be expected. That doesn't mean you have to pick between staying aboard the train-wreck or quitting the game forever. You can take a few weeks of break and, when you come back, it might be just like it was when you first started playing.
Take some time to play a single-player game you've been meaning to finish for a while. Go to your local library and pick up a book that speaks to you. Heck, pick up knitting! Do something else for a bit, and you might come to realize just how much you enjoy League of Legends.
Come back to us stronger than ever.
You deserve it.
