For those that don't know, in Lucian's original lore he was a sentinel of light who was taught by Senna. As they spent more time together, they fell in love and were eventually married. Until one day where in a battle against Thresh Senna sacrificed herself so that Lucian could survive. This left him devastated, but he continued on with both his pistol and hers, with a new goal to one day destroy the lantern and set her free. This was the champion we had for years; the broken man on a quest of revenge for his lost wife. Until just last year, when Lucian journeyed to the Shadow Isles to confront Thresh directly, and managed to free Senna. This was a huge turning point in Lucian's story. His entire goal and purpose, to free his wife, had been fulfilled, and Riot had to record completely new voicelines for him in order to reflect this.
Now let's look at Kassadin's lore. He spent years as a wandering desert guide in Shurima until one day he met a tribal woman and fell in love. They married and had a daughter, and while he still made his living as a guide, he would return home after every journey and tell the stories of his travels. One day on one of his expeditions, he found a survivor who told him of a disaster that destroyed his village. Kassadin rushed home, only to find rubble and ruins, his family nowhere to be found. He later learned that it was the doing of the Void, and that a mysterious figure known as "the prophet" (Malzahar) was trying to bring them further into this world. He donned the best equipment he could buy, and made it his mission to fight the Void and to avenge his family. Sound familiar?
Turns out Kai'sa actually survived within the Void, through the help of her second skin, and she eventually returned to Runeterra. And according to the quote Swain has when collecting a soul fragment from Kassadin ("So he's heard the rumors. The girl who came back.") Kassadin is aware of his daughter being alive. This should've been a huge moment in the story for Kassadin, just like Lucian saving Senna was for him. He makes it his purpose to fight the Void for what they did to his family, but then he learns that his daughter is actually alive. This is the kind of sh*t that new voicelines should be recorded for. Lucian and Senna have tons of new interactions together now, as they should, but Kassadin has 0 quotes about Kai'sa and Kai'sa doesn't even have that many about her own dad.
I'm not saying that I think that Riot should do a full voice rework like they did with Lucian. I think that would be awesome, but I understand that it would take resources to do. I do think Kassadin is in desperate need of some new lines, though, especially after such a drastic change in his story.
Tldr: Give Kassasin and Kai'sa plz more voicelines about each other plz
