This mechanic has been in the game as long as I can remember. (Been playing since season 2) It’s not even a bug, it’s a feature!

Very often you’d throw your abilities in bushes to check if someone was there, and has been a staple mechanic for many champions, especially skill shot mages.

Seems like an overlooked change made by an intern or someone at Riot who hasn’t played the game very long. As this seems like far to big of mechanic change to just throw randomly at the bottom of the patch notes bug fixes.

Definitely needs a revert.

EDIT: Upon further testing seems to have been removed only on pass through abilities, such as Zed Q, Gnar Q, Varus Q Lulu Q, etc.

EDIT 2: UPON even further testing this seems to depend entirely on the champion as both Sivir, And Tf do make sounds. So it’s maybe a bug?

Hey all! Just wanted to let everyone know that the team is aware of this, and we are working on a fix. There was a larger change relating to how audio functions in the Fog of War, but some unintended side effects (such as Zed's Q, Yasuo's tornado, etc.) have been popping up. You might notice some champions still behaving correctly when casting into the FoW (Morgana Q). The reason for that is that the audio interaction changes depending on how the sound was implemented. I'll update this thread once a fix has been submitted!

Update: Skillshots not playing their hit confirm SFX in bushes / FoW should be fixed as of 12.8! There are still some lingering Audio + FoW interactions that need to be addressed, which the team is currently investigating. Thanks for your patience!
