I noticed that there has been a mid-patch change where turret plate gold was lowered from 160g to 120g while the resistances per missing plate was increased from 30 to 40. Has anybody from Riot explained their reasoning behind these specific changes? I personally thought that turret plates were in a good spot, but IDK if that's what everybody thinks or not.
My guess is that it has to do with games being short, so they're trying to limit snowballing (the header for the notes says "Game Pacing Changes")? Assuming that's the case, why not do something like delay the dragon soul to the third drake of the same type rather than the fourth drake overall? This would make it substantially harder to get game-ending buffs like elder. You could also fiddle around with baron buffs, herald, etc. to increase the average game time, so I'm not sure why they chose turret plating in particular as their target. If anyone knows why, I would really appreciate it if you could share that with me.
