So, i figure not all League players got this.

But to those who also did this, how did you like this? I personally enyoed that (except for what im posting), because Riot takes feedback from the community or at least parts of the community. So i figure we really mean something to them? Haven't felt like that for several years now. NICE!

Riot sent me an email asking me to participate in this srurvey. Kept on answering everything, gave my hones feedback and then this. For all who don't speak german or are too brainf*cked to use a translator here's a question from THE OPTIONAL part which is about your ethnicity, gender and so on:

"Optional: Chooso the category, that describes you best.

  1. American or Alaskan Native
  2. Asian
  3. Black or Afro-American
  4. Latin-American
  5. Hawaiians or Insulan
  6. white"

So.... am i reading this right? Some minutes before they ask me how often i experience rascist or homophobic insults or actions motivated by them. And then, later, they ask me what's my heritage. They count some minorities and then "white".

BRUH.... CAN SOMEBODY GIVE ME A BRUH?

What's that supposed to be? I'm very confused. Am i supposed to be offended or is that a weird joke that i didn't get because that survey felt very serious and important to me. What is this?

Have a good one.

Hey! I'm the person who works at Riot who was in charge of this survey. First of all, thanks so much for taking the time to respond - we do consider this survey very serious and important, you're correct.

The other person who responded was correct - this is standard procedure for asking questions. The demographics section of the survey is based on a few things, including the U.S. Census and some more global, inclusive practices around collecting demographic data. If your concern is that the actual term being used here is offensive in some way, that might be a problem with localization - please let me know if you think there's a more appropriate term to be using. I'd like to understand your exact concern and see if I'm able to address it. Thanks again!

ETA: The other part of the conversation above is also correct. The reason we're asking those demographic questions is so we can understand the different experiences that different kinds of people have in the game. This lets us look at whether certain groups experience different kinds or rates of harassment, etc.
