Look like a new universe to me. The mecha skins are more futuristic. Whereas this one seem more like it is in the past.
Correct this is an entirely new thematic universe and skin line. Mecha is set in more of a futuristic time and place whereas Mecha Kingdoms is meant to be an interesting juxtaposition between sci-fi mechs and an ancient time and place.
Also it seems like Mecha skin line is getting a redesign similar to High Noon did in 2018 with Lucian, Thresh and Urgot.
I don’t mind but I do hope they still continue Lunar Revel skins because some of those skins are absolutely amazing like the Wu Kong skin from 2016, Vi and Garen skins from 2017, WW in 2018 and TK skin from 2019.
Appreciate the note on the Lunar Revel skins. To your first point, this is definitely the product of our teams investing a bit more into thematic development and putting in time and effort to more fully develop worlds as we build skins for champions in them.
Mecha Kingdoms sounds like they drew skin theme names out of a hat and combined them:

So MK skins not the 2020Lunar skins？
There will not be “Lunar Revel” skins in 2020. Mecha Kingdoms will be the skin release for that time period.
Is Jax's skin legendary?
Yes the Jax skin will be legendary. :)
I know that you probably can't, but would it be possible to just outright tell us if we're getting an Aurelion skin with this set? You don't have to say yes, but a hard no would be appreciated, because that dragon teaser at the start gave us hope.
There is not an Aurelion Sol skin launching with this release.
