I had so much fun pulling that joke off. I want to make it clear that monologues and telling in depth intense focused stories are normal parts of any broadcast and will be coming back, but we are allowed to have some fun and make jokes from time to time as well. I'm glad this one seemed to land :D

As and when they are appropriate, we have a story we feel is worth telling and want to pick this narrative device instead of another. When making live broadcast content, you can't follow an easy 3 step plan to making content. It's dynamic, changing, based on new information and basically I wanted to make it clear that my joke today was acknowleding the response to the last few monologues. They are powerful tools and intended to invite emotional and intellectual responses so we will continue to use them when we feel they will fit!

Next time please time it before the matches and not inbetween games. Would work way better.

Nope.

No they are not normal hence why LEC is the only region that does it. It is cringe.

Oh they really are friend. Broaden your entertainment horizons :D Pull from multiple sources. Not every minute of every show of everything you watch you like, it's important for live broadcasts to use as many tools as possible and vary their approach in story telling. It's super valuable and I'm sorry you find them cringe, you're welcome to tune back in once they are finish :D

I think the majority of LEC viewers appreciate the tone the jokes and the content we produce and no human ever loves every single thing they watch. You're entitled to your opinion and I hope you see the quantity of views, the support on socials and frankly the majority of people who enjoyed and appreciated what we do. Soz you didn't maybe you'll find something you like later. This is an entertainment product there is no right or wrong, there is stuff you like and dislike. We produce stuff that resonates with most of our viewers.
