yeah we are testing boxes not being auto-triggered by sweeper / control ward. Does mean that pure melee champs like Tryn basically have no way to clear the trap without getting feared, but so far it hasn't been that offensive to playing against experience
And it's a bit off topic but could i ask you some questions about the item shop overhaul you're working on

can't you make it so that the traps don't fear if they get sweeped/warded but that they will still trigger for attacking when the enemy gets close?
that means that the main problem of clearing them as a melee champion (their fear mechanic) is gone, but it also means that if the enemy doesn't gets close to clear them (and get a bit of damage and exposure against the enemy team and shaco) they will not die and simply remain hidden in position.
not a fan of divorcing the "oh its a triggered box, its auto attacking things" from "it can't fear me anymore". also it makes for some pretty weird "enemies put a control ward down, so if I place boxes near them they do their best heimer turret cosplay, and attack and last forever"
Oh yeah and more on topic, can I ask what got you guys interested in doing this shaco change now
pink ward was asking about it (multiple time), and we had some time to do a bit of work to see if we could come to a better solution since we agree that the current live one is not ideal.
