There was only one option for me after I learned it's possible to make video games for a living :x but before that I considered going into botany. I own no plants so probably made the right call.

If you weren't working for Riot... Which company would you like to work for?

Honestly I love working for Riot!

If for some reason Riot vanished into thin air, I'd prefer to start my own game company.

Hey Emizery did you move to League, since I recall seeing you talk about GvG a while back

Yep! I moved to League earlier this year as a champion designer.

Very excited about next year! ;)

Hey Emizery, Milio seems pretty cool, are you able to talk about him now that his kit is out

Hey, thanks!

It depends; if you have questions you should ask!

I was wondering, can you share what was his codename in dev and if you had any pics of his placeholder model during playtest

Haha sorry, I think that poses some risks unfortunately so I don't think I can disclose those things :)

Thats totally fair, can I also ask if his burn gets refreshed from multiple procs or does it stack

His passive does not stack on allies or enemies. There's a split of damage between extra burst and a lingering burn. Whoever applied the burn last replaces and refreshes the burn and gets its damage assigned to them.

So if Milio hits someone and applies burn, then Caitlyn hits the same target and applies burn and the burn kills then Caitlyn gets the kill credit as the last applicator.

Where do you think he lies complexity wise, from say a scale of 1 - 10. Enchanters in general don't seem super complex but I can see he has some good expression with ult and good Qs

That's hard for me to say, but I'd definitely put him on the low end for complexity.

We wanted to make him easy to do good things with by casting simple spells but hard to get the most out of him by using good positioning, timing, and target choices. He's meant for all skill levels!

So if Cait attacks an already burning target she does not deal the extra damage portion of Milio's passive but rather replaces and refreshes the burn as her's?

Two parts to his passive.

On hit, it deals a burst of magic damage.

After the burst of magic damage, it applies the burn which does not stack but does refresh and replace.

Hopefully that makes sense! There will be more details coming out in the coming weeks.

Hey Emizery, some small tooltip feedback after trying him a little on PBE. Can you add the amount of charges he has for E to his tooltip, so its consistent with other charge abilities like Corki R?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into adding the charges information in the tooltip.

Hey Emizery just read your Milio design dev blog, I was curious as if you can share what the post release plan for him would be in case he ended up too strong or weak

Sorry, can't share that at this time, but know that we have one and are ready to react if we aren't happy with his balance state :)

Hey Emizery just wanted to say Milio has been pretty fun so far, I like that he still brings something new to the table but it isn't that hard to learn play with or against. Do you know where he is balance wise, after the hotfix and a few days to settle

Hey Spideraxe

We're watching Milio's data carefully. In 13.7 we fixed a bug that was causing his recommended build order to suggest Q max which was impacting winrate reads. It's going to take some time before we see the full impact of players changing their max order as well as enemies learning how to play against him.

Generally we predicted that Milio players would have a decent advantage playing as him compared to enemies learning how to play against because of his accessible skill floor. The community is anticipated to learn how to play around him and pick counters at a slower pace than Milio players pick up the champion.

We're prepared to make more changes as we see data come in as needed, or leave him be if he's in a state Milio players are happy with that isn't causing problems. Balance is always relative and changing!

Sorry, no sneak peaks at possible changes :)
