[2023] The stars have aligned! 69,420 blue essence and 420 RP, all on a level 69 account!

First I noticed that I was level 69. Cute, I thought, but I mainly focus on the competitive, not the cosmetic side of the game, so I brushed it aside and queued up again to break my six game placements loss streak. But as I cracked my level 69 champ capsule and took a peek at my blue essence, I realized I had 69320BE. Giddy with excitement, I ran over to the event pass and used my free tokens for a 100 BE withdrawal. At this point, all that was left was to curate my RP number, which had been dwindling at just 20. I whipped out my primary school education, and after a few quick arithmetic operations, deducted that I could buy 575RP twice to put my total amount at 1170RP. Three icon purchases later, and I completed the pilgrimage to 420RP.

Sometimes life gives you beautiful, fleeting moments, and this was perhaps the best so far. If my loss streak continues, I can avoid the first win of the day +50BE and ride out this magnificent statistical high for a little longer. But all good things come to an end eventually. The sense of glory and awe is only superseded by the sense of impermanence, but the memory will last forever.

A dastardly Riot Games employee has taken everything of meaning from me. But I won't cry because it's over, I'll smile because it happened. God damn does this game teach emotional resiliency.
