getting master tier used to be quite an achievement, it still is, dont get me wrong, but when i see my friend who was diamond for many seasons suddenly reach masters in s11 by abusing duo then constantly dropping in and out because you cant duo in masters+ im just wondering if rankeds really matter

What’s interesting is Diamond seemed to shrink a lot. I don’t have the exact numbers at my fingertips but it went from like 1.5% d4+ to 1.0% d4+. Essentially 50lp plat 1 this season is d4 0 in 2020. This was accurate in both August and June year-over-year as the months I checked.
