I’ve been a pretty depressed person my entire life, and I’ve come to realize over the past few years that League is the only thing I’m passionate about and that makes me happy (even when my team is feeding :P) . Despite depression, anxiety, and overall motivation issues, I truly do have a work ethic and standard of excellence far higher than anybody else I’ve ever met. That translates to my current job in which I manage a medical office and into my college classes (of which I take at night due having to work full time). I’m just about to the point of giving up (and anybody who’s suffered from depression and anxiety knows what I mean by that), but everybody I’ve spoken to (some are legitimate medical professionals, some are just individuals who’s opinions I value highly) regarding trying to fix these psychological issues has told me to simply chase my passion in order to live a fulfilled life. Well, long ago, my passion was of course to be a LoL pro, but as I’ve played since season 1 and am still gold, we all know that isn’t happening. I write this in an attempt to see if there are ANY, and I repeat, ANY sort of jobs in the League scene. I will scrub the toilets for the lowest ranked challenger team. I will clean an entire teams house. I will mow their yard. Anything. I just want to get into the LoL scene, because I know I have the work ethic and tenacity to work my way up the ladder into a better position. If anybody has suggestions, or would even like to see a resume, I would love a response.

Check out what some of the teams are hiring for. You may be surprised at the range of jobs that are open. C9 for example regularly posts open positions on linkedin- ranging from facilities staff, accounting, management to software engineering. Also as HansAxel said, Riot is always hiring and being a dedicated LoL player is definitely something that will benefit you during that process.

Regarding the depression, just know that climbing out of it is always possible and you are not alone. I was in a similar place in my life a number of years ago and found this thread which led to a lot of positive change.

Would I simply search for the org on LinkedIn? Such as Cloud9, TL, etc? Also, thank you for linking the thread about depression. I’m in the middle of class right now so I haven’t read it yet but I will absolutely after this class. Edit: OH MY GOODNESS I did not even realize you were a Riot employee. I’m sure you all are active in the community if you’re responding to this post, but it’s seriously a huge honor to have you give any sort of advice. Thank you again.

Yup! You can even set up alerts for new openings. Here are a few:

https://www.linkedin.com/company/cloud9-esports/jobs/

https://www.linkedin.com/company/solomid-corporation/jobs/

https://www.linkedin.com/company/teamliquid-enterprises-llc/jobs/

Also, protip: Apply to things even if you aren't 100% a match for the position. Tailor your resume to the specific position (don't lie, but highlight things that will show you're a good fit) and write a template cover letter that you can customize for specific companies and roles- for example:

"My name is SwagOnABudget and I am seeking a meme engineer role with Cloud9. I was interested in Cloud9 because Sneaky is the best memer in esports. As a lifelong gamer and LoL fanatic, I think that I will be able to bring an authentic enthusiasm to the table, as well as unmatched skills in the field of meme engineering" (etc)

edit: Also, if you want, DM me your linkedin and we can connect. Esports people on linkedin love to network and there are few influencers that you can connect with that will open the floodgates as far as connecting with esports professionals.
