Clearly it works out for me, but there are many people who don't randomly browse the LoL support site or come on communities like Reddit and won't see this.
Hiya! Riot is working on a permanent solution that automatically grants in-client to everyone but I can't speak to timing though as I'm not on that team. My team and I (PS website engineering team) saw the thread by u/Jaibamon that players were banking on getting it asap so my team built a stop-gap solution for them.

Why is there a limit of 3?
