[2022] My dad is so excited for this patch.

I hitched a ride with him to work yesterday and I started talking about the new patch with him. He was asking about different new cards, throwing out ideas for deck-building, asking about the lore of some cards (because I'm more invested in the story aspect of the universe), discussing the mechanic changes brought by equipment, etc.

He plays every day with two different accounts, because he still wants to maintain my mom's collection if she ever wants to come back to the game so she doesn't have a hard time collecting new cards or getting shards to build. I don't really play because they haven't returned my favorite game mode yet (bring back quick draw!!!) but I still follow the game by watching my favorite streamers and content creators + watching seasonals. When there's a particularly good match, I sit down and watch that with my dad so we can both analyze the plays.

He's happy about the new multi-region followers and spells and thinking of building a weaponmaster bandle tree deck. When he said that idea out loud, it was followed with a giggle of excitement that I don't really hear from him very often. Or at all, really. So I'm happy that he's happy with the direction of this game and that he's really passionate about it still.

Thank you to the devs for making my 50+ year old dad laugh like a giddy little boy with excitement over this game. 😂

Edit: I previously posted my dad being excited over a previous patch in this post. No picture this time around but he is still enjoying the game at least!
