[2022] Can We Talk About The Event Pass?

I know we give LoR a lot of sh*t, but the Event Pass is amazing.

It's so damn cheap for everything you get. 10 bucks for multiple skins, card backs, guardians, emotes and a ton of resources for both the collection and PoC? RIDICULOUS value. The skins are unique, the emotes are consistent and expressive, the card backs look slick and always hit the theme just right. Even if you have more than enough dust and wildcards than you know what to do with you can still get prismatics.

It just feels like one of those Passes that you don't feel like you're getting ripped off with a bunch of common skins, voice lines, sprays, etc. I'd even recommend it to a new player with the way it gets you kitted out with current cards. The ONE complaint I have is that it sometimes gets grindy if you don't get your hours in regularly, but even then you can skip levels with coins. The UI looks great, the Claim All option is a life saver and completing the thing actually feels rewarding. Even if I'm not interested in the specific theme/champions its based around I still don't feel like I've wasted my money.

I'd be willing to pay 15 bucks or more for it because I genuinely WANT the game to be financially profitable, but the skins in the actual shop are NOT it. They cost almost as much as the entire Pass, while not providing much in terms of value, especially for champions that don't level up often/aren't drawn often/are niche or otherwise weak in the meta. The bundles are a good start, but I wish they'd start releasing full sets of skins, including a champions followers. I'd pay GOOD money for a Cafe Cuties Vladimir set that turns all the Crimson units into baristas, or a Demacia Vice Garen set that turns all the Elites into cyberpunk fashionistas.
