[2023] Champs for POC

Hi, I’m the lead designer for TPOC. Let’s do this.

First off, aim to complete your “chapter quests” for tpoc as they give a ton of rewards, espescially the higher chapters, aimed at new players.

Second, lux, yasuo, and jinx are all champions you can get fragments for from the chapter quests that are all extremely powerful at 3 stars. Many consider Jinx an auto win on any adventure that doesn’t directly counter her 3-star power. Yasuo and lux are both very good at 2 stars but absolutely insane at 3 stars and can beat nearly anything if played correctly - due to how yasuo can stun the enemy’s best units repeatedly and how lux can combo-kill her way to victory with literally more free attacks that you can hold in your hand once you get the chemtech duplicator relic.

You picked up Gwen who is a very good champion for new players too, as she can heal your nexus which can help you recover from mistakes. Great choice.

You will mostly want to focus on getting one very good chanpion from each region first, as many different adventures must be completed with champions from different regions. Keeping an eye on the regions you need to clear your upcoming world adventures and focusing on those first is a good approach.

As for levelling up, just play the hardest adventure with the champion that you think you have a solid chance of winning, or at least beating the miniboss. We balanced the XP rates to give far more XP playing higher star adventures and with big xp spikes for beating the miniboss and final boss to encourage this approach.

Finally, don’t hoard wild fragments. Use them to star up the champions you’re playing with. Starring up matters IMMENSELY, the power spike on each star is absolutely huge. Raising a champion by 1 star is worth about 10 levels, often more.
