540s	I feel like for a new player experience, you know, you should you should introduce them and start them out with having fun right, not out the gate having a punishing experience.

573s	You know, new players are never going to get the same kind of excitement that we got waiting in queue listening to seagulls.

583s	There's so many people popping up in my chat and they're like, Oh, I really want to get into Lost Ark, but I've heard that it's so hard to catch up with the very current content that we have.
592s	So in general, I feel like this game should be more evolutionary rather than stagnant.

600s	We did have the adrenaline of a new game though.
603s	So, you know, I really welcome new players to Lost Ark, and I think they should have a fair chance of getting to where we are just a bit faster.

637s	We're going to have hours and hours of wiping because they're just going to hit a wall of difficulty.

643s	Do I think that Argos should be as difficult as it was when it came out?

648s	But when it comes to Legion Raids, I like to keep that difficulty because I feel like Lost Ark kind of had a really good progression of Valtan is, you know, semi-challenging, Vykas got a little bit harder, Clown was introducing new mechanics, and when you got to Brel you felt a little bit more equipped.
662s	So if you kind of dumbed down those punishing mechanics, well then those players are going to hit a wall and they're going to get discouraged.

718s	You said that, you know, the gamers that are coming here are not new gamers.
722s	Lost Ark is a very unique animal.

725s	It's not the regular over-the-shoulder third person.

729s	It's a top down MMO that has very unique raid mechanics.
734s	I've played a lot of MMOs.
736s	I'm a - as you called me - old, I'm a five-head, so I know a thing or two about difficult mechanics.
743s	Lost Ark's raid - I feel like are perfectly fine as they are because as I mentioned, it's a stepping stone.
748s	You're not going to be hit with meteors in Brel Gate Six right out the gate starting the game.
752s	You get to do Argos, you get to do Valtan.
755s	And with the changes that we saw with Smilegate, with the Legion raids, I think that you don't need to change anything else.
762s	Everything's good now.
763s	New players are going be able to breeze right through it, so making it any easier is just going to punish the loyal player base when they have to have these Mokokos in their group because they're not going to be ready for that difficulty.

791s	You don't want to discourage them from playing the game and you want them to get to the fun parts of the game.
795s	And some of the earlier stuff is over tuned.
797s	And just because you did it the hard way doesn't mean everyone else should.
802s	But then on the other side, in retrospect, you want to make sure new players are equipped to handle the new Legion Raids.
809s	And some of those earlier content, the mechanics that are taught in them, they're going to be applicable further on in the game.
814s	So you want to make sure they're introduced from them.
816s	They're not just going in blind and they just hit a wall and give up.

821s	I think Grenton has a lot of good points in that you don't want to take the challenge and the fun out of the raids, because it does prepare them for the later raids, But there are some frustrating mechanics in the earlier raids that I don't like in general personally.
