[2022] Arena Summer Sale is Disappointing

I hope you like character Sleeves!

I don’t go out of my way for cosmetics, and I only tend to get them through mastery pass or Daily deals, if I have it to spare and I really like the style. For something hyped as their big sale of the season, there is startlingly little in the Arena Summer Sale, and very few compelling options. I was expecting card styles, land styles, sleeves, pets, avatars, in a word.. options. Old border Basics, discontinued pets, maybe even a discounted pack. What did we actually get? The Arena Sleeve Sale.

Initially 8 bundles, now only 6 (Borderless Planeswalkers and Matt Juke’s Checklands no longer available at the time of writing - removing the only bundles with actual, useable card styles within an hour)

Of those 6 remaining:

1x exclusive, limited time non-craftable set of Basics [nice]

1x Emote Bundle, with all the emotes your could have bought over the last year, but nothing prior.

4x Sleeve bundles (1x with avatars, except the ones most people would want [looking at you Bolas]) - All character sleeves, because we need at least three different sleeves to telegraph to our opponent that we’re playing “Cabaretti”

TLDR: Arena’s Summer sale is great if you like character sleeves or if you love emotes but literally don’t own any. Otherwise, it feels like a dud.
