Yesterday the gameplay seemed fine and smooth. However, after today's patch, there are lags almost every time I play something, and at times when my opponent makes a play as well.

I have already encountered such situations on two or three occasions, so I performed a clean install (with Display Driver Uninstaller), installed latest drivers, checked that MTGA uses the NVidia GPU in the NVidia Control Panel (I also have an integrated GPU on my laptop). Yet after all that, the problem seems to persist. It is much less enjoyable to play now.

My laptop was able to run MTGA very smoothly so it's not about the weak GPU (GTX 960 M), CPU (Intel i7) or whatever.

If its happening when you play a card (or when the opponent does) I'd expect it to be an issue with communicating with the servers, or an issue processing the game state from the server and not a video card issue.

Can people having the issue share rough geo-locations?

I've noticed that the in-game mouse cursor stays responsive while the rest of the game freezes up. Maybe that'll help to identify the problem?

My GPU is a GTX 1070.

With everyone so far being over the pond, and knowing that the cursor stays responsive my experience say this is an internet issue. We're investigating.
