[2023] Do unspent mastery orbs disappear right away?

New to the game. It says "Unspent orbs from the mastery will be lost when the next set's mastery is complete."

This seems like it should mean that the orbs I got this set won't expire until next set is over...but I have a feeling they will expire right away (in about 16 hours from now). Is this the case?

They are supposed to be accessible until the end of the next set (in this case, until the end of MOM's pass). This was broken for a while, but we believe we have fixed it.
