The following cards are moved from suspended to banned:

The ban applies to both Traditional (best-of-three) and Arena (best-of-one) Historic constructed formats and events. This includes Play and the Traditional Historic Event and will apply to Historic Ranked and Traditional Historic Ranked when the season begins on March 12. As a general reminder, Brawl maintains a separate ban list from other Standard formats.

IMPORTANT: SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE

These changes will be implemented as part of the March 12, 2020 scheduled maintenance. While no downtime is expected, these changes may not be in effect until maintenance is complete. Please refer to our status page for more information.

PLAYER COLLECTIONS

Players who have Oko, Thief of Crowns, Once Upon a Time and/or Veil of Summer as a part of their in-game collection on MTG Arena prior to March 12 game update and have not previously received Wildcards for when these cards were banned in Standard will receive an equal number of Wildcards of the appropriate rarity to their collection as part of the update.

  • For example, if you previously received Wildcards for Oko, Thief of Crowns when the card was banned in Standard on November 18, 2019 you will not receive Wildcards for those copies again.
  • If you have added copies of Oko, Thief of Crowns to your collection since the card was banned in Standard, you will receive Wildcards only for the copies that weren’t a part of your collection as of Novemeber 18, 2019

Players will receive a notification in-game when the ban takes effect as well as the number and types of Wildcards they have received. Players can still redeem Wildcards for Oko, Thief of Crowns, Once Upon a Time and Veil of Summer for play in Direct Challenge matches. There will be confirmation messages reminding players that these cards are currently banned.

Players will not receive Wildcards for Golos, Tireless Pilgrim .
