[2020] Stuck on checking for updates.

Hello, I keep getting stuck on checking for updates. Anyone got any new tips for this issue?

I delete the download folder and it will download files, and this works. But like every time now I have to delete the folder and re-download 3.5GB of stuff because it gets stuck on checking for updates again...
