I played brawl today and got into a pretty weird situation.

Prepare for trouble

As visible in this screenshot my commander [[Nethroi, Apex of Death]] is in my hand as well as in my command zone.

To get to this point I mutated Nethroi on my [[Cavalier of Thorns]]. When the Cavalier died I let Nethroi move to the graveyard and exiled the Cavalier targetting Nethroi to put it back on top of my library. Then I was asked, if I want to let my commander get exiled, but I moved it to the command zone instead. And now I have two Nethrois. My opponent conceded instantly, so I didn't know if this was just a visual bug.

I tried to replicate this in another brawl match aggainst a friend of mine and it happened all the same. I even managed to cast both cards

And make it double

and both still existed in the graveyard after dying.

I think this may have happened because of mutate. Since both cards are one as they enter the graveyard Nethroi would get exiled by the rules on Cavalier. But by moving it to the command zone beforehand a copy is created in the deck or something.

Anyway, this is probably a rather serious (and abusable) bug.

Thanks for the report. I have some ideas about what's happening here, I'll look into then soon. #wotc_staff
