Let's start by bringing up this -

"I will take it back to the devs on Wed."

So...let's be clear. You're taking a four day weekend? After a pretty big screw up. Right before the roll out of another major event.

At what point are the devs going to have time to address this? While they are already dealing with the dumpster fire that Famine promises to be? Just going on previous experience at this point.

Covid - https://imgur.com/a/Uc6tyCi https://imgur.com/a/4ItOhKx

"But it was the pandemic. it caused fatigue and it worsened communication. Not everyone adapted to the change well...It broke down established lines of communication and some people didn't adapt."

"You do realize most of your complaints are directs casuses of COVID. I'm being 100% serious...It'll get better once more people start working in person and we get more collaboration and after we hire more people."

A year ago, if you were talking about 2020 leading into 2021, I would've given you this one. Seriously, there would've been a nod and an expression of soldiarity for a horrible situation.

Even the first half of 2021, I probably could understand still working out the transition.

Dude, it's July of 2022. If your company, a TECH COMPANY WHO WORKS ON MOBILE PHONES, can't make the transition by now...what is going on?

You want us to excuse incompentency and bugs because your company can't figure out a transition over the course of two years?

And scopley still expects in person work? It sounds like they don't want to transition, and you're just looking for an excuse.

Mighty Thor vs Agatha shards - https://imgur.com/a/XRwbO3Y

"ORiginally it was going to be Mighty Thor at the end but I recommended Agath since many f2p needed just 20 to 30 shards to unlock her I polled some players and they agreed with me that Agatha over Migthy Thor."

....what? Who? Why? When?

This is a Mighty Thor event. It is tied to this character. The mess up is directly about her. But you thought "nah, what we really need is to look at a character from multiple releases back, who is supposed to be going to the store already!" Really?

Who do we think were really polled?

Background and reddit and depressed naps - https://imgur.com/a/d6DoZjj

I'm not going to hammer your qualifications here, but let's be honest - "Gamestop manager" isn't exactly impressive. There's a reason those stores normally have extremely high turn over.

Reddit can be really bad. Most social media can be really bad. You know what helps make a community not be incredibly angry and toxic?

When a company stops consistently messing up, refusing to really acknowledge it, and then turning around and blaming their customers.

Maybe consider why people are angry, instead of bringing up that we are.

It was stressful seeing the reaction? Shocking. Maybe don't say tone deaf things. Knowing how to communicate is your job, bro. Do it, or ditch it. By the way "lots of depressed naps"...nice plea for sympathy. You know when I tend to get depressed? When I actively screw up. So maybe consider that you should be less upset about the community response, and more about your communications that are leading to the community response. You have control over one of those.

Yeah, the agatha message was pretty stupid. But you know what's also pretty bad? Trying to dodge responsibility as a company.

"It had nothing to do with anything anyone did it was the just the dumbest fluke."

Someone sent it out. Someone didn't check the message, didn't follow up on how the process would go, didn't make a plan or execute it.

I.e. - Scopley again shows us that they don't know how to run a company.

Loyalty - https://imgur.com/a/4X2TmH5

"dude when people are being respectful they get so much loyalty out of me you have no idea cause i relly relaly care"

Remember when you intially started, and people were positive and respectful, and you started putting your foot in your mouth?

Did we not deserve some respect or loyalty from you? Or is it only a one way street?

"Actually you do. that's your problem brother. You look at me as what can I do for you not what can we do for each other. This is a symbiotic relationship. If you are disrespectful and mean to me Ill be less likely to feel compelled to answer you. just common sense. But you've been poking at me all night so I can see you may not be one who can be won over."

...What do you feel your job is? We don't need to work with you, because we don't work together, brah. You work for scopley, and are supposed to address the community.

We don't owe you loyalty. We especially don't owe you it after you continually insult us.

And we really don't owe it to scopley.

I think you need to really sit down and figure out both what your job is, and what your expectations are. If you think the community is just going to love you whenever you decide to dribble out information, then I think you walked into this position with an unrealistic expectation of how PR works.

Review bomb - https://imgur.com/a/5Em23os

"Please don't review bomb us lol. It doesn't help anything. Give it a 4 and write an actual review if you have to lol. Now if you want to throw the 5 on there because of me Id be gratful but I doubt I have that much cred yet"

Please. Please don't. But also...lol.

This just sounds sad. Its pleading, then trying to play it off, then telling us that our honest review don't accomplish anything (what does?), while also saying the minimum should be a 4?

What makes you think this game is worth a 4 right now? Why not a 3? Or a 2?

With all the bugs, releasing broken events, the tone deaf CMs, the disrespect to the community? That's 4 worthy?

I'd love to see your scale for 1-3. What does the game need to do? Brick your phone and kill your dog? I'm guessing that's just a 2?)

Exact numbers - https://imgur.com/a/eeAioEt

"A lot quit all the time. Don't confuse the people who are the loudest as being the majority. Remeber i nverseen this exact number but the vast majority of players dont look at social media for the game. So all of this is unaware to them and they are happy with OOOO look at this extra calendar thank you marvel (get the joke they think its marvel)"

Remember, do not believe what your eyes see or your ears hear. Archangel doesn't have exact numbers, but also just knows these things. It's the most remarkable thing, being able to simply know.

Also, he also just knows that most people are happy with the calendar. I mean, it's just inherent knowledge that a CM has.

You should probably stop making jokes. They really aren't working out for you. I thought you'd get that by now.

Never on the table - https://imgur.com/a/3kJgklI

"giving everyone the milestones was never on the table. i dont havbe to be an employee to see that. i knew as soon as I heard it wasn't a big enough amount of people that it wouldne be all the milestones to everyone."

Why was it never on the table? It's just a game, right? Why not just placate the community with the rewards? What keeps it off the table?

Scopley messed up, but doesn't want to take the cost of their mistake...again. Right?

And in the next screenshot, you say it wasn't a big enough number of people to rollback. So was there a sweet spot where it was enough people for the milestones to go out, but not enough for a rollback?

Wanna bet there's no area between, and it straight would've been either "not enough" or "too many - roll it back"?

Archangel, I liked you, bud. I really did. I appreciate that you tried, even if you crashed and burned hard. But if you want any "cred", then you need to get to work on earning it, and not whining about people being mean to you. Because people are going to be mean to you. A lot. Over things scopley did. Because you are now the front face for a company that makes mistakes all the time.

This is really a good take. Think about this to. He was the best they could find for the job.

Like so many things, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.

Well it might be worse then that. It could be simply they don’t value the role at all(that’s clear). So they found someone willing to work at what they want to pay and they are perfectly ok with the quality at that price point.
