Greetings Commanders,

Two of the galaxy's most infamous step-sisters are undergoing an epic transformation in preparation for the Infinity Watch joining the battle. Their upgrades will help elevate the Infinity Watch as the new top dog in battle and today we're showcasing the new ways in which they'll be inflicting pain upon their enemies. Let's dive in!

GAMORA

The deadliest woman in the galaxy is getting a whole lot more powerful as Gamora will soon be Empowered! Just like Thanos before her, when Gamora becomes Empowered, she'll have access to an all-new set of abilities. Different from Thanos, Gamora’s Empowered state is based on a Charge mechanic. It’s a bit intricate, so you’ll want to read her updated abilities (below) carefully.

Along with her new Empowered state, Gamora is also getting massive boosts to her stats across the board, so it's safe to say that her job on Infinity Watch is damage. With all of her combined updates, you'll feel as if Gamora is capable of taking out an enemy on each of her turns. 

Meet the Empowered living weapon:

Empowered Abilities

Basic - Brutal Strikes

  • Attack primary target for 290% damage + apply 2 Bleed.
  • Bonus attack 2 times for 240% damage.

Special - Bring to Ruin

  • Energy Cost: 4/6
  • Clear Deathproof from all enemies. If any enemy had Deathproof, apply +1 Deathproof, up to a max of 3, to all Infinity Watch allies.
  • Attack all enemies for 400% damage + apply Heal Block for 2 turns.
  • This attack cannot miss.

Ultimate - Requiem

  • Energy Cost: 3/5
  • Gain Offense Up for 2 turns. Attack primary target for 600% damage.
  • On Kill, fill Speed Bar by 100%.
  • This attack cannot be dodged or blocked.

Passive - Deadliest Woman

  • If Health is full at the start of a match, Revive once with 20% of this character's Max Health + 20% for each Infinity Watch ally.
  • On Turn, flip Defense Up on any enemy that has Defense Up.
  • When this character's Health drops below 30%, apply Taunt to the highest Health ally and gain 2 Regeneration for self.
  • Gain +15% Piercing for each Infinity Watch ally.
  • Gain +10% Crit Chance. Guardian and Infinity Watch allies gain +10% Crit Chance.
  • Apply +5% Crit Chance to additional allies.
  • Gain +10,000% Resistance against Defense Down.

Gamora Base Ability & Stat Updates

Stat Upgrades:

  • Health +100%
  • Damage +40%
  • Armor +600%
  • Focus & Resistance +20%

Basic (Assassin's Strike):

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 250% damage + 50% chance to Bonus attack up to 2 times for 200% damage.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for 290% damage + Bonus attack 2 times for 240% damage.

Special (Ruthless Blade):

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 270% damage.
    • Chain to 1-2 adjacent targets for 200% damage.
    • On Kill, fill Speed Bar by 100%.
    • Counterattack breaks this Chain.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for 330% damage + Chain to 2 adjacent targets for 250% damage.
    • On Kill, fill Speed Bar by 100%.
    • Counterattack breaks this Chain.
    • If Adam Warlock is an ally, this attack can Chain to Stealth targets and cannot be Countered.

Ultimate (Flying Slash):

  • Old:
    • Gain Offense Up for 2 turns.
    • Attack primary target for 420% damage.
    • On Kill, fill Speed Bar by 100%.
  • New:
    • Gain Offense Up for 2 turns.
    • Attack primary target for 450% damage.
    • On Kill, fill Speed Bar by 100%.

Passive (Deadly Methods):

  • Old:
    • Gain +10% Crit Chance. Apply +10% Crit Chance to Guardian allies.
    • Apply +5% Crit Chance to additional allies.
  • New:
    • On Spawn, gain +1 Charged for each non-Infinity Watch ally.
    • If Health is full at the start of a match, Revive once with 20% of this character's Max Health + 20% for each Infinity Watch ally.
    • On this character's or any Infinity Watch ally's turn, lose 1 Charged. On any ally Adam Warlock's turn, lose 2 Charged, instead.
    • On Turn, if not Charged, become Empowered.
    • On Empowered fill Speed Bar by 50% + clear all negative effects from self + Heal for 50% of this character's Max Health. If negative effects removed, heal self for 10% per negative effect removed.
    • When this character's Health drops below 30%, apply Taunt to the highest Health ally and gain 2 Regeneration for self.
    • Gain +10% Crit Chance. Guardian and Infinity Watch allies gain +10% Crit Chance.
    • Apply +5% Crit Chance to additional allies.
    • Gain +10,000% Resistance against Defense Down.

NEBULA

Nebula is also receiving a slew of improvements herself, and the upgraded abilities are sure to cause mayhem in battle.

For her Infinity Watch team, Nebula brings a ton of extra damage, both through Assists and by passing out Counters via her Special ability, "Challenging Foe." Her Assist chance hits 100% with a full Infinity Watch team. On the Defensive side, Nebula also brings sustain to her team by granting Evade on her Ultimate ability, "Mayhem." Speaking of mayhem, her Ultimate now also applies Heal Block and with at least three Infinity Watch allies this attack chains to up to 10 adjacent targets. Clearing out an army of minions, clones, and dupes has never been so satisfying!

If you're looking to bolster Nebula with character shards, head over to Nexus 4-6 on June 1st, as she'll be replacing Mercenary Sniper who will remain in rotation in the War Store.

Power up the fighting machine:

base stats upgrades: +20% to Health, Damage, Armor, Focus, and Resistance

Basic - Relentless Pursuit

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 280% damage.
    • Gain Speed Up for 1 turn.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for 320% damage + 10% of target's Max Health.
    • Gain Speed Up.

Special - Challenging Foe

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 200% damage + gain 2 Counter.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for 310% damage + gain 2 Counter.
    • Apply 2 Counter to all Infinity Watch allies.

Ultimate - Mayhem

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 320% damage.
    • 60% chance to Chain to up to 2 adjacent targets for 250% damage.
    • Gain 2 Evade.
    • Counterattack breaks this Chain.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for 350% damage + apply Heal Block.
    • Chain to 2 adjacent targets for 270% damage + apply Heal Block.
    • If this character has 3 or more Infinity Watch allies, chain to 10 adjacent targets.
    • Gain 2 Evade.  Apply Evade to all Infinity Watch allies.
    • Counterattack breaks this Chain.
    • If this character has 3 or more Infinity Watch allies, this attack cannot be counterattacked.
    • Attacks always Crit if the target is Summoned or Cloned.

Passive - Exploit Weakness

  • Old:
    • 15% chance to Assist when an ally attacks.
    • 15% chance to Revive on Death with 10% of Max Health.
  • New:
    • On Spawn, gain Speed Up.
    • If Health is full at the start of a match, Revive once with 10% of this character's Max Health + 15% for each Infinity Watch ally.
    • On Revive, gain Deathproof.
    • On Turn, apply Assist Now + Speed Up to 1 random Gamora ally.
    • Gain +20% Assist Chance + 20% per Infinity Watch ally.
