4 Years.
A core foundation not built upon sh*tty code, and exploits, but from friendship, and loyalty. That is what Marvel Strike Force meant to me.
4 years given to this game, to see it fall apart into fragments of what it used to be. A game that rewarded players for their hard work, but allowed them to flex their wallet if they wanted to showcase a single star character. A character who could be fudged into a team for some fun unpredictable secret hybrid meta.
Now we are left with rushed characters, for incomplete teams, who break the game we all grew to love, and enjoy. It isn’t the game that is keeping the core of the players right now. It is loyalty to the addiction that this game feeds upon. Some have found a way to avoid their spending, while others succumb to the vileness of Scopely as they continue to disrespect not only their players, but their own employees. This is clearly seen by the lack of concern from their Support team, and their deaf tone responses, or even lack of responses, to community issues.
A game that is built off of unstable code, that can’t even protect its own integrity for how it handles leader boards, with hackers always showing up, and preventing our beloved krakens/whales their chance to shine, and keep the game alive.
I sit here, on my last day, thinking to myself. Where did this game go? Where is the Marvel Strike Force I used to love? What happened to make this become such a dull, careless experience? Where did the passion go for their own support for the game?
I end with a final experience that secured my decision to retire. Support almost wiped my account data, because they hadn't read what I had submitted to them.
Demand better people.
Demand, better.
Cheers.
