Doctor Strange (Heartless) & Wong
Morgan Le Fay won't be the only sorcerer on the Darkhold team worthy of the Eye of Agamotto, as Doctor Strange (Heartless) and Wong will be joining the Legendary Apocalypse Horseman’s squad. As mentioned in last week's blog, the Darkhold team will be a powerful Arena force and today, you'll see how these two high profile spell-casters bolster their allies. First, let's ponder this question: What if Doctor Strange lost his heart instead of his hands?
Doctor Strange (Heartless)
After picking up his lover, Dr. Christine Palmer, for a dinner party, Doctor Stephen Strange's car was involved in a violent collision that resulted in Palmer being killed. Strange searched for answers to help him with his grief and eventually stumbled upon the Masters of the Mystic Arts, an order of sorcerers committed to protecting Earth from mystical threats. After learning their ways, Strange used the Eye of Agamotto to help save his reality from Dormammu and the Dark Dimension. Following the victory, Strange became obsessed with using the Eye of Agamotto to alter his timeline to save Christine from the accident. But no matter what Strange did or didn't do on the fateful night of the accident, Christine couldn't be saved from her inevitable death. The Ancient One warned Strange that her fate was an Absolute Point in time and altering it could result in the end of the universe, but the desperate doctor ignored the warning and pressed on. Through extensive research, Strange found that he could potentially alter an Absolute Point but first needed to become more powerful. By absorbing the essences of other life forms, he froze himself in time for centuries in order to bring increasingly powerful demonic entities to Earth to take their souls. Strange eventually grew strong enough to resurrect Palmer from the dead, breaking the Absolute Point, but the act created a time paradox, which resulted in the total collapse of Doctor Strange's universe.
Doctor Strange (Heartless) will be arriving on Nexus Earth as a Darkhold Blaster with a particularly high Resistance stat. He specializes in fortifying his Darkhold allies and walloping enemies with hard-hitting attacks. With patience and strategy, his Ultimate ability, "Demonic Embrace," has the capability to do tremendous damage. Doctor Strange (Heartless) also grants Barrier to any Darkhold ally on their turn and once he gains Charged from his Ultimate ability, he'll give massive amounts of Barrier to his entire team, as well as provide himself with some Healing to help him sustain in battle. Doctor Strange (Heartless) is most effective with the Darkhold team, however, he can work with any character that can help set up his Ultimate ability, by giving him Ability Energy, positive effects, or the enemy team negative effects.

Wong
Wong is a descendant of Kan, an ancient Tibetan warrior-monk who lived a thousand years ago and was a student of the occult. For ten generations preceding Wong, the first-born males in his family aided the Ancient One, the former Sorcerer Supreme of the Earth dimension. Upon turning four, Wong's father brought him to the Ancient One for training at a monastery, where he learned how to assist mystics, as well as the martial arts of Kamar-Taj. When Wong became an adult and his training was complete, the Ancient One sent him to the Sanctum Sanctorum in the United States to assist Doctor Strange, the Ancient One's disciple. Wong's years spent fighting alongside Doctor Strange led to him becoming extremely proficient in the mystic arts, so much so that the Eye of Agamotto considered Wong as Strange's replacement for Earth's Sorcerer Supreme. Alongside Doctor Strange, Wong has faced off against Dormammu, Dracula, and many of the universe's most dangerous mystic threats.
On the battlefield for the Darkhold team, Wong is a Protector with high Health and Resistance. As Protectors go, Wong is extremely powerful and he's vital to the success of the Darkhold team. Not only does he draw enemy attacks with a Taunt, but he attacks any enemy who attacks him or any of his Darkhold allies. His Ultimate Ability, "Portal Barrage," is especially potent, as it manipulates the effects on the primary target, grants Wong Taunt and Barrier, as well as gains Safeguard if Doctor Strange (Heartless) or Doctor Strange is an ally.
Guard the universe's mightiest mystics with Wong:
