Madelyne Pryor

Ever since Sabretooth took his adamantium talents to the Weapon X team, Mister Sinister experienced a Mutant gene gap amongst his Marauders. We'll soon be filling that gap with Sinister's favorite solution to problems: a clone. Marauder fans rejoice and welcome the newest member to the team. Obsessed with harnessing the power of a potential offspring between Cyclops and Phoenix, the master geneticist Mister Sinister pursued this goal by secretly obtaining a genetic sample of Phoenix and producing a clone. Sinister gave the clone the name Madelyne Pryor (Pryor as a pun due to the clone's prior existence), filled her head with false memories, and manipulated Cyclops into marrying her. Madelyne and Cyclops eventually had a son – Nathan Summers (a.k.a. Cable) – but when Phoenix was resurrected from the dead, Cyclops left Madelyne and the baby to be with his once lost love. Jealous and enraged from her abandonment, Madelyne aligned herself with extra dimensional demons in exchange for their help in exercising vengeance against Cyclops. As a clone of Phoenix and now calling herself, "The Goblin Queen", Madelyne Pryor is a powerful psychic Mutant and possesses the abilities of telekinesis, reality warping, telepathy, and psionic energy projection, among other powers. After becoming the Goblin Queen, Madelyne's powers expanded to include dark magic casting and summoning demons and other entities from the Limbo dimension.

Madelyne Pryor joins the Marauders as a Controller and slots into the position vacated by Sabretooth. She features solid Focus and base Damage, which amplify her powerful abilities. Madelyne's presence allows the Marauders to replace the damage lost with Sabretooth's exit from the team, as well as overcome some of their current counters. One such counter to Madelyne’s adversaries is her anti-mind control mechanic, which allows her to mind control her own allies for an attack. Madelyne Pryor's abilities work best with her Marauders team, but she can also be a powerhouse on her own, especially if she squares off against Controllers and Support characters.

Basic - Psionic Smite

• Attack primary target for 300% damage + flip 1 positive effect.
• On War Defense, flip 3 additional positive effects on the primary target.

Special - Hellfire Vortex

• Energy Cost: 6/6
• Attack all enemies for 300% damage + apply Defense Down for 2 turns.
• If Cyclops, Phoenix, or Dark Phoenix is an enemy, Bonus Attack all enemies for 300% damage.
• Apply Offense Down for 2 turns to all Brawler and Blaster enemies.
• Apply Disrupted for 2 turns to all Protector and Controller enemies.
• Apply Ability Block for 2 turns to all Support enemies.
• This attack cannot be counterattacked.
• On War Defense: This attack is unavoidable
• On War Defense: Apply Ability Block to all enemy Protectors

Ultimate - Brimstone Meteor

• Energy Cost: 4/6
• Flip all positive effects on the primary target.
• Attack primary target for 600% damage + prolong the duration of all negative effects by 1.
• On War Defense: This attack targets the most injured non-summoned enemy. This attack can target Dark Phoenix.
• On War Defense: On Kill, generate 2 Ability Energy for a random Mister Sinister ally.
• On War Defense: This attack cannot be blocked.

Passive - Goblin Queen

• When an enemy attacks any Emma Frost, Marauder, or Cloned ally below 50% Health, Mind Control the ally with the highest Damage to attack that enemy.  The controlled character gains +30% Damage for this attack.
• Gain +20% Focus. Marauder allies gain +20% Focus.
• Gain +20% Damage. Marauder allies gain +20% Damage.
• Gain +50% chance to assist on non-attack abilities.
• On War Defense: Gain +50% Resistance per enemy Brawler
• On War Defense: Lower Crit Chance by 50% for all Mutant enemies.
• On War Defense: On Spawn, fill Speed Bay by 30% for a random Stryfe ally.

Forbidden Knowledge Event Campaign

A portal of opportunity is opening on April 4th at 5:00PM (PDT) with Doctor Strange (Heartless)'s Forbidden Knowledge Event Campaign. Join Doctor Strange (Heartless) and Scarlet Witch as they seek out a dark mystical anomaly that threatens space and time. This Event Campaign will feature the new Heroic Difficulty, which will require you to have at least 5 characters with the limited-time "Unyielding" trait. Here are the recommended character details for each Heroic Mission:

The Heroic Difficulty will reward Teal gear and completing a Heroic Difficulty mission will automatically earn First Time Rewards for both the Hard and Heroic Difficulties. Don't miss this exciting event and risk wondering "What if… Doctor Strange (Heartless) was on my roster?"
