Imagine if there was a game wide phenomenon that was preventing large portions of the community from logging into the game. Now imagine if there was a Community Manager to acknowledge this issue and attempt to provide some solace for the community. One that would potentially offer general advice or just letting everyone know that the company is aware. What would that be like?

I've said it before, Cerebro's salary would be better spent on QA, or poured back into the game. Just have a dev update the patch notes and push them to the site and you'd essentially have the same effect if not less animosity for the game.
