@Chunkycheese12 @SEpicsaurus Yes, mobs get a lot easier to fight, maybe even more so than 1.8/bedrock. So I agree with you on the issue, but not the solution ;) I think we should look into making "hard" difficulty more challenging/interesting
@daniguz77 Yes a problem with these changes is that in order to really understand how it plays, you need to play a lot. Some scenarios don't appear until you're exploring a ravine on your fourth day... I need the community's help.
@Knezzo2 @daniguz77 HMMMM... Is still an issue in combat test 5? I know there was a bug in v4 and before, but I thought I had fixed it? Do you know how to reproduce?
@Knezzo2 @Chunkycheese12 @SEpicsaurus Yeah that makes sense. I'm still in "phase 1", which means designing systems... "Phase 2" will be more focused on numbers and mobs
@Knezzo2 @daniguz77 Btw, have you really been playing the combat snapshots "for a few months"? Do you have any video recordings? Would be very helpful to watch!
@CodingCookey @Knezzo2 @daniguz77 @NxMarko Oh great, thank you. That's very interesting... the snapshot already have a 1/4 block buffer, but maybe that's not enough then. I've fixed the knockback problem in the next test. What's your general impression of the test?
@CodingCookey @Knezzo2 @daniguz77 @NxMarko That's great feedback, thank you. The next version contains more radical changes... For instance, I've removed the reach bonus for "200% attacks", but I noticed you were using it in your video. I think there will be some flip-flopping until the final-final version is found.
@NxMarko @CodingCookey @Knezzo2 @daniguz77 Yes, in v6 there are no systems remaining that still uses the 200%, so I've removed the attack indicator completely. Will bring it back if it improves PvP (in PvE it just added confusion)... Lets see
@Knezzo2 @CodingCookey @daniguz77 @NxMarko Haha true, but I generally only see negative feedback, so I'm often in the blind regarding if something is appreciated or not. The impression I've got is that players don't like timing attacks
Here is a clarification on some comments on reddit. "Get hit" is different to "take damage", so you can still eat to save yourselves from lava. "Eat" is different to "drink", so potions work as before. Please try yourself before commenting
